December 6, 2025. Six municipalities of Sucre met on one stage in Galeras, around the Living Pictures.

2026. Itinerant training in eight places: Chalán, Ovejas, Rincón del Mar, Galeras, Los Palmitos, Morroa, Tuchín and San Jacinto. Mompox, Barranquilla, Sincelejo and Mahates also came to the festival, without that training.

At the heart: the Living PicturesEn el centro: los Cuadros Vivos
The Living Pictures (Cuadros Vivos) of Galeras are scenes made by the town itself, with bodies, objects and light. In 2024 they were inscribed as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. At the festival, children and young people learn to make them, train in dance, and bring their own stories to the stage. In 2026 the festival was recognized as a Project of National Interest.
Los Cuadros Vivos de Galeras son escenas que hace el propio pueblo, con cuerpos, objetos y luz. En 2024 fueron inscritos como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad. En el festival, la niñez y la juventud aprenden a hacerlos, se forman en danza y llevan sus propias historias al escenario. En 2026 el festival fue reconocido como Proyecto de Interés Nacional.
